High rpm misfire under load - The V8 Owners Forum
sowen wrote: My dad suggested the high rpm misfire could be some of the valves floating, a quick Google search does show very similar symptoms, as the engine has always felt flat at higher rpms, it doesn't pull hard like my old Land Rover did. Low to mid rpm it's fine, just lacks the ooomph when the throttle is held wide open Any thoughts and suggestions before I go and tear the top end apart?

MGB Rear Axle Offset!! - The V8 Owners Forum
It has new standard V8 spec rear springs and lever arm dampers, plus blue bushes all round. My rear springs dont have any sideways movement either. I followed the same procedure for fitting the rear sprins as Davemgb and it made no difference. My offset is easy to see when I have my BFG's on for racing.

Starter Motor Clearance Issues - The V8 Owners Forum
I'm trial fitting my rover v8 in my rover p6 and have a problem with the starter motor resting on one of my suspension mounts preventing the engine from dropping into place: I want to avoid modifying the suspension mount if I can, and wondered if anyone has or knows of a starter that would fit in place and allow the engine to move over 1/2 inch at that point. It measures about 4.25 inches from ...

Rover V8 Coolant Circulation Direction - The V8 Owners Forum

I have a Rover v8 with the 4.0 serpentine timing cover where the water pump turns the opposite way to the V belt 3.5. In the system I ...

Thermostat Bypass Pipe - The V8 Owners Forum
On the early Land Rover 3.5 V8s (Strombergs) there is a bypass pipe/hole in the bottom of the thermostat housing that has a s rubber pipe that connects to the back of the timing cover - it allows coolant to pass between the inlet manifold and water pump while the thermostat is still closed. It allows the circulation of a small amount of coolant from the water pump into the engine and back ...
