It was only the third time the Cincinnati Open men’s final ended in a retirement, and the first since 2011 when Novak Djokovic stopped playing in the second set because of a shoulder injury.

Gavin Lux hit his fifth home run of the year, and Brady Singer pitched six strong innings to lead the Cincinnati Reds past the Los Angeles Angels.

The Cincinnati Reds will hand the ball to Hunter Greene (5-3, 2.47 ERA), who is looking for win No. 6 on the season, and the Angels will turn to Kyle Hendricks (6-8, 4.88 ERA). The Reds won their most recent game against the Brewers on Sunday by a 3-2 score.

Both teams enter the matchup at 0-1 after losses in their preseason openers, with kickoff set for 8 p.m. ET at Northwest Stadium in Summerfield.
