Missouri-based food company Bunge North America has recalled 64,800 pounds - the equivalent of 1,800 cases - of its NH European Style Butter Blend due to undeclared milk allergens. According to a public health notice from the FDA, Bunge distributed the butter to 12 centers located across the United States and one in the Dominican Republic.

( NewsNation) — The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has escalated a recent nationwide recall of 64,800 pounds of butter to a higher risk level.

As per the FDA site, a Class II recall indicates “a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote”.
