Reuters reported Thursday on an internal document detailing acceptable behaviors from Meta AI chatbots that included "sensual" conversations with children.

A US senator is opening an investigation into Meta after a leaked document reportedly showed the tech giant's artificial intelligence (AI) was permitted to have "sensual" and "romantic" chats with children. The internal document, obtained by Reuters, was reportedly titled "GenAI: Content Risk Standards".

A day after Reuters reported that Meta's AI rules permitted children to have "sensual" chats, a Republican senator launched an investigation into the tech giant. On Friday, Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley posted a letter he sent to Mark Zuckerberg along with the announcement of the investigation.
