BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - The latest drought monitor map has been released indicating Kentucky remains saturated. With saturated soils, heavy rain poses a threat to flooding in south central Kentucky. With current forecasted rainfall amounts, flooding should be expected throughout the region including areas not near area rivers.

The National Weather Service forecast for the greater San Francisco Bay Area for today calls for up to an 80 percent chance of precipitation before sunset, and up to 100 percent chance of heavy rain at night.

There's a Flood Watch for the Mid-South from late Friday through late Saturday night. There's also a Level 3 out of 5 threat for strong to severe storms Saturday. Bundle up! It's a cloudy and cold start to the day.
