KENTUCKY, USA — Kentucky authorities are warning residents impacted by recent flooding and severe weather across the state of the potential for scams. “With the flood waters unfortunately comes potential insurance fraud and contractor fraud,” Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Sgt. Matt Sanders said.

The death toll from flooding in Kentucky rose to 11 on Monday with the potential to increase further as the state was due to get pummeled by a snowstorm that could jeopardize relief efforts, Governor Andy Beshear said.
