Much of the commonwealth remains under flood watches or warnings Sunday morning after some areas received more than 6 inches of rain within a 48-hour period.

The death toll from recent inclement weather in Kentucky the last few days has risen to 15, Gov. Andy Beshear announced Thursday. The new death came out of Livingston County. No other information about the death or the victim was released.

Officials are still in the search and rescue phase after heavy rain caused deadly widespread flooding across Kentucky.
