DENVER — The Houston Astros placed infielder Luis Guillorme on the 10-day injured list with a strained right hamstring on Wednesday, the latest position player sidelined for the AL West leaders.

Infielder Zack Short was called up from Triple-A Sugar Land to replace Guillorme on the active roster. Guillorme, 30, has played in 12 games as a utility infielder for Houston, going 3-for-20 and playing at second and third base.
