Police released a slew of new video and images of the Brown University mass shooting suspect, primarily from the hours before the shooting.

A person of interest identified in Saturday's mass shooting at Brown University will be released, authorities said.

As new images of the person of interest in Saturday's deadly Brown University mass shooting have trickled in, police are asking for continued public assistance to identify the suspect.

Gunfire erupted on the first floor of Brown University’s Barus and Holley engineering and physics building around 4 p.m. on Dec. 13 during a review session for an economics exam.

On the Rhode Island Report podcast, Smiley says there is no sign of an ‘ongoing threat,’ and police presence has been stepped up around the Brown campus with help from outside agencies.

Brown University leaders also outlined the ways students and staff can get help if they need it. They posted numbers that can be called for immediate and 24/7 mental health support, as well as centers that are open on campus here. The public is invited to a vigil at 5 p.m. Sunday at Lippitt Park on Hope Street in Providence.
