A fire burning near Silverado Trail wineries prompted evacuation orders in Napa County. The Pickett Fire was reported around 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, off Pickett Road, near Calistoga. By Saturday night, it had burned 6,531 acres (10 square miles) with 11% containment, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection said.

The wildfire spread to more than 2,100 acres hours after erupting near Calistoga, authorities said. Evacuation orders were issued in parts of Napa County.
