Daniel Suarez 's NASCAR Cup career has been a roller coaster, to say the least. After becoming the first non-American driver to win a NASCAR championship at the national level in 2016 (in the Xfinity Series), he was suddenly called up to Cup after the shock retirement of Carl Edwards.

Daniel Suarez will not return to Trackhouse Racing for the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season, he announced on July 1 via social media. Suarez, 33, will move on following five seasons at Trackhouse, including two wins, two playoff appearances, 15 top-5 finishes and 39 top-10s.

This opens the door for top racing prospect to Connor Zilisch to join the team after winning three times in the Xfinity Series over his first 20 starts.
