SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – OzarksFirst is celebrating Black History Month by honoring the African-American history in the Ozarks, including the African-American Heritage Trail that runs through Springfield.

Granted, this has never been a major celebration in the Pacific Northwest since Washington’s African American population is just 5.8%. Idaho’s is much smaller — less than 1% of the state’s population.
