Hackers have learned how to intercept and record command codes sent from Honda key fobs to vehicles and use them later on to open or start cars.

But according to The Drive, which independently tested and verified the vulnerability on a Honda Accord 2021, the key fob flaw doesn’t allow an attacker to drive off with the vehicle.

Online reports from security researchers said that hackers can wirelessly steal command codes from key fobs, allowing them to unlock and start some Honda models.
