Seattle sits at No. 2 for the second straight week in the NFL.com rankings, one spot behind the top-ranked Los Angeles Rams. That's a fair assessment considering the Rams own one of the Seahawks' three losses, but they had a chance to win it on a long field goal at the very end.

Week 13 in the NFL served up a reminder of just how unpredictable this league can be, with the playoff picture shaken up yet again.

Per the NFL transaction wire, the Seattle Seahawks released DT Johnathan Hankins from the reserve non-football injury list with a settlement. The wire specified it was a non-injury settlement.

Despite their impressive play and lofty standing, CBS believes there are eight playoff contenders mor "trustworthy" than the Seattle Seahawks.

The Colts (8-4), who have lost back-to-back games since their Week 11 bye, have the hardest remaining strength of schedule in the NFL. Their final five opponents are the Jacksonville Jaguars (twice), Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers and Texans.

Taylor trails only New England quarterback Drake Maye, Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons.

According to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, the Seahawks are cutting defensive lineman Johnathan Hankins, who has been on the Non-Football Injury (NFI) List all season long. "The Seahawks released veteran DT Johnathan Hankins off the reserve/non-football injury list. He goes on waivers," Pelissero wrote.
