After a rather dry November in Colorado’s high country, Loveland Ski Area recorded 25″ of snow for the month currently, December’s forecast looks more promising as more storms line up over the next week.
According to AccuWeather’s forecast map for Wednesday, states with the poorest travel conditions include Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. “Fair” conditions are expected along the East Coast and Northwest, as well as parts of Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado. Much of the remainder of the country will see good conditions, the map showed.
The Colorado Department of Transportation has launched a new landing page with information to help drivers plan for trips along the Interstate 70 mountain corridor.
Winter returned to Colorado’s high country over the weekend, especially in the southern and central mountains. The state’s snowpack is slowly rebounding as well, with the median average moved above 33%.
