Former Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Robert Woods is back on the market. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Pittsburgh Steelers are releasing Woods. Woods could potentially return to the Steelers after being cut but if it’s not in Pittsburgh, the veteran receiver still plans to play in 2025.

The Steelers have released veteran wide receiver Robert Woods. Pittsburgh signed Woods this past offseason after he spent a year with the Houston Texans. However, a lackluster camp and poor showings in the preseason saw him fall down the pecking order and led to his release.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are moving on from a big name in their wide receivers room, as NFL Media reports that the club is releasing Robert Woods ahead of the 53-man roster deadline. Ian Rapoport reports that the door will be open for a possible return, and that Woods still plans on playing in 2025 even if it's not with the Steelers.
