The Toronto Maple Leafs placed goaltender Anthony Stolarz on injured reserve and claimed defenseman Troy Stecher off waivers from the Edmonton Oilers, the team announced Saturday.Stolarz will miss at least two more games with his IR designation being retroactive to Nov.

Stolarz, who signed a new four-year, $15 million extension before the start of this season, has seen his performance slip this season to 6-5-1 with an .889 save percentage. There were a couple of goals that appears to just slip through the control of his pads that the goaltender admitted he would like back.

Despite his recent challenges, Stolarz has had a mixed record against the Bruins throughout his career. In four regular-season appearances against this formidable opponent, he holds a record of 2-1-1. However, his GAA against the Bruins is still a concerning 3.44, which reflects the difficulties he has faced in critical moments.
