Unlike India and Australia, Pakistan have opted for a strict preparation plan for the Champions Trophy. They have lined up three warm-up matches with their squads, against Afghanistan, South Africa, and Bangladesh. Shadab Khan will lead a Pakistan Shaheen squad in the warm-up game against Afghanistan in Lahore on February 14.

India and Australia have opted out of Champions Trophy warm-ups, while Pakistan has scheduled three with their Shaheen squads. Rohit Sharma's squad will rely on their ODI series win over England as sufficient preparation for the tournament in Dubai.

The BCCI decided against playing practice games as India are already playing a three-match ODI series against England which ended on Wednesday.

Salman Agha and Mohammad Rizwan both struck centuries as Pakistan completed their highest successful run chase in One Day Internationals with a six-wicket win over South Africa in a Tri-Nation Series fixture in Karachi on Wednesday.

Pakistan eliminated South Africa from the tri-nation series with centuries from captain Mohammad Rizwan and vice-captain Salman Ali Agha leading the home team to its highest-ever successful run chase in an ODI just a week ahead of Champions Trophy.
