For decades, the mantra of John Cena has been “never give up.” On Saturday, John Cena gave up, tapping out to Gunther in the final match of Cena’s career. It wasn’t the first time Cena has tapped out in his career, but it was the first time in over two decades.
The Miz and Evans had a match after a heated moment backstage set it up earlier in the show. The A-Lister had control for the first couple of moves, but the high-flyer sent him out of the ring and hit a beautiful moonsault.

On the June 27, 2002 edition of WWE SmackDown, Cena made his WWE debut by answering Angle’s open challenge. When Angle asked him what quality he possessed that made him think he could wrestle Angle, Cena responded, “Ruthless Aggression,” before slapping Angle in the face to start the match.
