The Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday that the United States needed to formulate its policy on ending the conflict in Ukraine and that Moscow could then base its own position on specific U.S.

When Volodymyr Zelensky said he was ready to negotiate with Vladimir Putin in order to end the war, it wasn't the first time Ukraine's leader announced his readiness to talk to Moscow. In fact, the two sides already tried to negotiate in the early days of the war.

The leaders of Ukraine and Russia signaled that their previous refusal to talk to each other has softened, following US President Donald Trump’s promise to end Moscow’s full-scale invasion.
