A day after Pittsburgh Steelers owner Art Rooney II hinted that Aaron Rodgers might be on his way, NFL insider Adam Schefter said the quarterback's arrival is leading the team to pass on drafting Shedeur Sanders.

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin provided an update on the team's pursuit of Aaron Rodgers in free agency. Tomlin revealed that the Steelers have had "really productive" discussions with Rodgers during a Saturday appearance on NFL Network. "We feel good about our plan at the position," Tomlin said.

While Rodgers remains unsigned, Steelers president Art Rooney II provided an update on where the team currently stands with the future Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback. Rodgers told Pat McAfee last week that he has remained in contact with Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin as he continues to ponder his future.
