CAIRO (AP) — Egyptian officials said Tuesday a fire that engulfed a main telecom company building in downtown Cairo a day earlier left four people dead and over two dozen injured.

Four workers were killed and at least 22 others were injured in a fire that broke out on Monday at a key data centre in Cairo, Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the spokesperson at Egypt’s Health Ministry, told Reuters on Tuesday.

Egyptian officials said Tuesday the fire that engulfed a main telecom company building in downtown Cairo the day before left four people dead and over two dozen injured. The four were Telecom Egypt employees who had been inside the building, the workers' union of the company said in a statement.
