A motorist in western North Carolina escaped injury when a cat carcass crashed into her windshield. The incident happened along a highway near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Police are investigating after four people were injured in a shooting at an annual tree lighting ceremony in Concord, North Carolina, on Friday night.
“Upon arrival deputies discovered a 38-year-old female deceased,” the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. “Evidence suggests the victim was viciously attacked by a dog the victim had been providing care to for several weeks.”
