Variety reports that on March 20, Angela Bassett will guest star on the Doctor Odyssey episode “Casino Week” as her 9-1-1 character Athena Grant. The LAPD sergeant apparently needs the assistance of Dr. Max Bankman (Joshua Jackson) to track down a couple of suspects. According to the episode synopsis:

ABC is staging another major crossover — this season and for 9-1-1. (Already in 2025, Abbott Elementary and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia have crossed over, while 9-1-1, last season, met the Bachelor Joey Graziadei .)

The meet-up occurs during Casino Week aboard The Odyssey when “unexpected guest Athena Grant (Bassett) suspects two passengers are targeting the ship’s vault. Enlisting Max’s help, Athena raises the stakes in a dangerous game where not everyone will end up with a winning hand,” per the episode’s logline.

ABC made comedy fans' dreams come true with their crossover episode between Abbott Elementary and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Evidently, it seems the network is not done just yet with mixing up its shows,
