The Atlanta Falcons have made some new roster moves heading into their final preseason game. They include cutting a former Pro Bowler while making a swap of quarterbacks. The Pro Bowl cut? DJ Chark, the wide receiver who was once a star for the Jacksonville Jaguars. They also waived a quarterback, Emory Jones, under the waived/injury designation.
The Atlanta Falcons made multiple roster moves Monday morning, including cutting former Pro Bowl wide receiver D.J. Chark. A former second-round pick out of LSU, Chark signed with the Falcons in July after previously playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Detroit Lions, Carolina Panthers and Los Angeles Chargers during his career.
After just one month, the D.J. Chark experiment in Atlanta is over. Earlier thismorning, Falcons Digital Team Reporter Terrin Waack reported that the teamsigned QB Ben DiNucci. As a result, one of their corresponding moves was torelease former Pro Bowl WR D.
The Browns signed undrafted free agent receiver Isaiah Bond out of Texas to a three-year deal. And as Cory Kinnan of Daft on Draft points out, someone has to be cut in terms of the final 53-man roster for Bond to have that spot. Kinnan poses the question if Johnson will get released while Bond takes his spot.
