Meta offered one of Apple's top artificial intelligence executives over $200 million to lure him away from the company, Bloomberg reports.

Ruoming Pang previously ran Apple's in-house team that trained the AI foundation models that underpin Apple Intelligence and other on-device AI features.

As Meta poaches an Apple AI executive for its Superintelligence team, its competitors are also working to attract talent into their ranks.
