Fields, who came to Pittsburgh via trade from Chicago in the offseason, started the first six games of the 2024 and led the Steelers to a 4-2 record. He threw for 1,106 passing yards, five touchdowns, and one interception and added over 200 yards on the ground and another five touchdowns.

Pittsburgh Steelers safety DeShon Elliott made clear he wants no part of Aaron Rodgers. He said it as much in a post on Instagram that has been deleted since.

“Regarding recent report that Steelers have inquired about a trade for Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence, a Jaguars source said there’s “no chance” they’ll trade Lawrence and called the idea “ridiculous,”" Dirocco tweeted.

Steelers owner Art Rooney II said last month that both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields proved capable quarterbacks, and his preference was to sign one of them. The Steelers are reportedly at work weighing other options.
