Basketball star Sue Bird made history Sunday, becoming the first WNBA player to be honored by her franchise with a statue in Seattle, outside of a WNBA arena.

Former UConn Huskies star Sue Bird had a legendary career, and her former WNBA team, the Seattle Storm, made sure to honor her properly.

Sue Bird is hilarious. Megan Rapinoe and Sue decided to get in on the fun by reenacting the Coldplay kiss cam incident at Tuesday night’s Seattle Storm game against the Minnesota Lynx. But the couple added their own theatrical twist on the moment.
