In a move that’s got a lot of folks scratching their heads, Universal Pictures has permanently shuttered its highly anticipated musical project “Golden,” which was set to explore the childhood of music icon Pharrell Williams.

Somehow Pharrell Williams’ Lego biopic made it to theaters (though suffering many disruptions from PETA protestors), but his movie musical with Michel Gondry will not. Per Variety, Golden, which centered on the hitmaker’s childhood,
