Jake Fischer reported how serious the Minnesota Timberwolves were in their pursuit for Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant.

According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Minnesota Timberwolves were “serious” about trading for Kevin Durant.  The Timberwolves wanted to pair Durant with Anthony Edwards.

As the NBA trade deadline stirred up its usual rumors and player movement, one of the more intriguing storylines involved Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant, who was nearly traded to the Golden State Warriors until he caught wind of the discussions.

Kevin Durant was in plenty of trade rumors at the deadline the year, and the Minnesota Timberwolves were right at the center of it.

As Kevin Durant was seen as the hottest property in the trade window along with Jimmy Butler, Timberwolves endeavored to land the forward from the Phoenix Suns ahead of the NBA trade deadline.
