USC commit Alijah Arenas was released from the hospital, one week after a car accident in Los Angeles, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. According to a statement provided by the family, Arenas is resting under close watch at home.

Alijah Arenas, a basketball recruit for USC and son of former NBA star Gilbert Arenas, has been released from the hospital less than one week after a fiery single-car crash.

Arenas, who is the son of three-time NBA All-Star guard Gilbert Arenas, was temporarily placed in a medically induced coma last week to treat him for smoke inhalation after his Tesla Cybertruck crashed into a tree and fire hydrant, per ESPN's Shams Charania.
