Grande and co-star Cynthia Erivo have just completed a global press tour for director Jon M. Chu’s Wicked: For Good, his second installment of Universal’s adaptation of the classic Broadway play and book. Grande stars as Glinda the Good Witch and Erivo as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West.

An Australian influencer who lunged at the actress Ariana Grande at a film premiere in Singapore was sentenced on Monday to nine days in jail.

The Australian was in Singapore on a 90-day tourist visa and has been in custody since his arrest. He was sentenced Monday after the prosecution requested a week behind bars on a charge that carries up to a three-month sentence, according to Singapore’s the Straits Times.

The man, who has been identified as 26-year-old Johnson Wen, was arrested and charged with being a public nuisance after grabbing the actress on the “Wicked: For Good” premiere red carpet. He has been released and is expected back in court on Monday, CBS News reported.

In multiple social media videos, Grande, who portrays Glinda in the “Wicked” films, can be seen walking the red carpet with co-stars Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum, as a man sprints towards them and wraps his arms around Grande.
