U.S. President Donald Trump's team is moving quickly to challenge injunctions that thwarted implementation of his policies on social issues and firing federal workers after the Supreme Court limited lower courts' powers to block them.

The Supreme Court’s conservative majority continued to march American law toward the right during its term that ended last week, in a steady stream of 6-3 decisions in major cases along with a flood of emergency appeals sparked by the Trump administration.

In a 6-3 decision whose consequences continue to reverberate today, the six Republican appointees on the court ruled that Trump was entitled to criminal immunity in connection with the Justice Department’s prosecution of the then-former president over his effort to overturn the 2020 election.
