The White House is mapping out next steps to end the war in Ukraine after Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy and several European leaders joined President Trump for high stakes talks Monday.

"Human Events" editor Jack Posobiec, from the "New Media Seat" at today's White House briefing, asked for details on what role the U.S. would play in a reported "Article Five-like" security guarantee for Ukraine in the event of a ceasefire.

The White House said Tuesday that President Donald Trump wants to respect the American taxpayer, and isn't interested in writing "blank checks" to support Ukraine.
