The D3s is mid-model freshening of the two-year-old Nikon D3. The D3s is the same camera as the D3, with a few new features thrown in to give it a little more catalog life.

The D3S is the fourth camera in Nikon's line to feature a full-frame sensor, following the D3, D700 and D3X. It is also Nikon's first full-frame camera to feature HD (720p/30) video recording.
