Feb 23, 2023 · I always thought it would be more interesting if Turles was Bardock's brother, rather than Goku's. But, as many have pointed out, there is no immediate relationship between Turles and Goku.

Turles represents what Goku could have become if he was never sent to Earth, hit his head or met his friends. Making him physically resemble Goku was to further that, but it's a bit too on-the-nose.
