Wings was a British-American rock band formed in 1971 by Paul McCartney after the breakup of The Beatles. The group featured McCartney’s wife Linda on keyboards and former Moody Blues guitarist Denny Laine, among others. Known for a mix of pop, rock, and ballads, Wings produced several major hits in the 1970s, including “Band on the Run,” “Jet,” and “Live and Let Die.” They became one of the decade’s most successful bands, showcasing McCartney’s songwriting in a new, more collaborative setting.
